Today, the BG Women's Soccer team battled to a 1-0 victory over the Western Michigan Broncos to conclude the first weekend of MAC league play. Our goal came via Katie Stephenson, Midway through the first half, with the assist coming from Kobe. Katie's lone goal is all we would need to hold onto the win. We now stand with an even 1-1 MAC confrence record, and and overall record of 6-3-2.
Much credit should be given to all the players for their ability to respond accordingly to Friday night's loss. As a team, we looked much more organized defensively and were able to maintain some possession in the midfield. The girls seem to be proving that they can take some hits...as the last few games have been extremely physical and demanding on their bodies.
We now look forward to next weekend's matches against Ohio and Akron, and again hope to prove that we are team to be reckoned with! Until next week.....Falc'em Up!
